1. Driver Accountability
1.1 Drivers must be between the age of 18 to 75.
1.2 Drivers must have experience riding a bike. Our staff may cancel bookings if a driver is deemed unable to operate the bike safely.
1.3 Helmets are mandatory for both drivers and passengers when riding a motorized bike.
1.4 If your helmet is lost or damaged, contact Customer Care for a replacement. Always wear a helmet while riding.
1. 5 Drivers must possess a valid Driver’s License. Depending on your nationality and location, an international Driver’s License may also be required. Ensure these documents are valid and in order. Bikes and helmets must be secured when not in use.
1.6 Park only in designated areas. Do not park on private property without the owner’s permission.
1.7 Ensure all group members have the necessary travel documents as required by local regulations.
1.8 It is strongly recommended to obtain appropriate travel and medical insurances. Getting travel insurance which covers any potential disadvantages during your holiday including illness, injury, death, 3rd party damage and cancellations is advisable.
2. Comprehensive Guidelines for Bike Use
2.1 Our bikes are delivered with a full tank of petrol and must be returned in the same condition. If the fuel tank is not filled to capacity upon return, a refueling charge and handling fee will apply.
2.2 Within four hours of accepting your reserved bike, you can switch to another bike, subject to availability and a one-time limit. Upgrades will incur additional charges, while downgrades will refund the price difference.
2.3 Our bikes are meticulously maintained and designed exclusively for smooth road journeys. Please avoid taking them off-road or onto sandy beaches.
2.4 Please note, we cannot issue refunds for the problems related to documentation or other travel-related problems, such as canceled or delayed flights.
2.5 If the bike you reserved is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, we will offer a comparable or upgraded bike at no extra charge.
2.6 Our staff is authorized to provide only the services specified on our website and brochure.
2.7 Complaints raised after the client’s departure will not be taken into consideration.
2.8 We are not liable for failure to fulfill our obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, such as power failures, fires, floods, epidemics, wars, riots, and terrorism.
3. Pick-up & Drop-off Services
3.1 Enjoy our hassle-free drop-off and delivery service right to your rental spot. While we aim for punctuality, please understand that drop-off and delivery times are approximate, especially in bustling tourist hubs where logistics can be tricky.
3.2 We offer free delivery and self-pickup service throughout most of Bali with a minimum 3-day rental reservation, specifically, locations such as Pererenan, Canggu, Berawa, Kerobokan, Seminyak, Legian, and Kuta. Our delivery and pickup service is available in over 53 areas in Bali, including Denpasar, Nusa Dua, Pandawa, Sanur, Tanah Lot, Ubud (wide area), Uluwatu, and Ungasan. 3.3 If you opt to leave your bike at your accommodation for drop-off without being present, please ensure it is securely stored. Capture 5 detailed photos of the bike: front view, left side, right side, rear view, and the fuel indicator. If your bike includes storage under its seat, photograph it to confirm that the helmet and other accessories are safely stowed. Leave the keys with the receptionist or duty manager, and inform us of the specific hotel staff member who has accepted them.It is under no circumstance allowed to leave the bike behind in areas without supervision.
3.4 Bike must be returned on time. Late returns may result in additional charges. Please stick to the agreed return time or notify us at least 48 hours in advance if you need to extend your rental. To prolong your rental period, get in touch with us via WhatsApp or email. If you notice any issues or if the bike becomes unrideable, please inform Customer Care immediately. We will swiftly repair or replace the bike.
4. Payment System, Security Deposit, Insurance excess/Own Risk
4.1 We do not accept cash payments and will never ask you to hold your passport in escrow. We accept payments in 150 different world currencies. Our system supports a wide range of currencies for the convenience of our clients worldwide. Payments are accepted through providers such as PayPal, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay on our website.
4.2 Prices are subject to change, but the latest prices are always displayed on our website. Once a booking is made and payment is completed, the price is fixed.
4.3 Your signature on the rental agreement authorizes us to collect the final total expenses from your account or from the specific organization that issued the card.
4.4 A 100% prepayment of the rental fee is required before the start of the rental. The full amount is required before the pickup/arrival date.
4.5 Rental rates are calculated on a 24-hour basis.
4.6 If you have not selected an insurance package, we will authorize a $750 Security deposit on your credit card for potential bike damages.
4.7 During bike handover, you may be requested to present the credit card used for online booking and your passport for verification.
4.8 We operate on principles of honesty and ask our customers to treat our bicycles and accessories with respect. If you have opted for our insurance package, there is an Excess/Own Risk condition of $95, which is the maximum amount you will pay for damage/theft of the bike.
4.9 With our cancellation insurance, cancelling the reservation 24 hours before the rental starts entitles you to a refund of the rental cost minus the insurance premium and bank fee. Without our cancellation insurance, you have the option to reschedule for another date or transfer your reservation to another individual, based on availability and with at least 24 hours’ notice before the rental starts. If you cancel the reservation within 24 hours before the rental, the previously paid rental amount is non-refundable.
All prices are quoted and processed in USD unless otherwise specified.
5. Damage Fee Structure & Reimbursement Policies:
5.1 If any accidents occur, please notify Customer Care immediately. We’ll swiftly arrange a replacement bike and can assist with filing a police report if needed. Please be aware that our insurance policy excludes coverage for incidents involving alcohol consumption, underage riders, or individuals without a valid driver’s license. It’s crucial to contact us immediately in case of an accident, without delay until the following day.
5.2 In case of an accident, the entire damage deposit will be temporarily charged to your credit card until repair estimates are assessed.
5.3 In the event that a client’s fault renders our motorcycle unroadworthy due to an accident, the rental contract is terminated immediately without eligibility for a refund. Clients will receive notification of repair costs and any potential refunds promptly via email or phone, with refunds processed immediately. This condition is waived for clients who choose to enroll in our Motorbike Insurance.
5.5 We do not assume responsibility for any damages, losses, injuries, or fatalities incurred by renters, their passengers, or any other parties involved in accidents while using our motorbikes.
5.6 Drivers are accountable for any tire damage incurred.
5.7 The use of the phone holder is at your own discretion. Please ensure your phone is securely mounted when using the holder. We are not responsible for any damage to your phone.
6. Requirements for Local Customers:
In addition to the terms and conditions, Indonesian local customers renting with GFS-BIKE in Bali must provide:
– Proof of hotel booking (3-5 stars).
– Proof of round-trip flight booking departing from Bali.
– Photos of original KTP + NPWP + Family Card, and SIM.
– Payment of IDR 2,000,000 refundable security deposit.
7. Explore Our Additional Rental Terms and Conditions:
7.1 Bikes are not permitted to be taken off the main island of Bali.
7.2 Customers are responsible for any fines issued by the Bali police or fines received from the ATSD system (e.g., speeding, red light violations, or failure to wear helmets) during the rental period. Photo evidence will be provided upon request.
7.3 The bikes are delivered with original registration and tax documents (STNK). A fine of $10 will be charged in case of loss of these documents. You must always have this document with you when using the motorcycle to comply with local regulations.
7.4 If you fail to return your bike with a full tank, you will incur a handling fee of $5 plus the cost to refill the petrol at prevailing rates. Pertamina rates for Pertamax Provincie Bali rates which can be found here.
7.5 If any accessories are stolen, lost, or damaged during your rental period, the retail value will be charged to your credit card. Below are the retail values in Bali:
Helmet: $24.95;
Medical Kit: $14.95;
Phone Holder: $9.95.
In the event of a lost key, the following charges will apply:
Mechanical Key: $18;
Smart key Keyless: $75 (applicable to Honda ADV and Honda Scoopy).
7.6 If you’ve consumed alcohol at a restaurant, bar, or club, please refrain from driving. Instead, opt for a taxi or ride as a passenger with a sober friend. If you need to leave the bike, contact Customer Care to arrange for its return to your villa or hotel.
7.7 We do not assume responsibility for any unlawful conduct or actions contrary to the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
