An International Driving Permit (IDP) is an official translation of your national driver's license into an internationally recognized format. It does not replace your original driver's license and is valid only when carried together with it. An IDP does not grant any additional driving privileges—you may only operate vehicles in the categories for which you are licensed under your original driver's license.
